Calkins would address concerns as port commissioner

Ryan Calkins believes that it’s time for a change at the Port of Seattle. I agree. With Ryan’s strong environmental beliefs and an endorsement by the Sierra Club, among many other groups and citizens, he is motivated to work for our environment as well as many other port issues that need improvement.

The incumbent port commissioners continue to ignore the citizens’ quality of life issues.

We need an energetic port commissioner who is committed to addressing the issues of air and noise quality, changing the approach path or the possibility of moving air cargo to another airport.

Federal Way, as well as many other South King County cities, are suffering from the increases in air traffic and the noise and emissions we’re subjected to every day. Ryan supports the residents and their cities who have these concerns, and he’s motivated to make changes.

It’s time for new energy and ideas at the Port of Seattle with Ryan Calkin’s leadership.
