Raymond Casey

Raymond Louis Casey of Federal Way died Oct. 17 at St. Francis Hospital. He was 70.

He was born to Donovan and Vera Casey on Dec. 13, 1932, in Bremerton.

While in the Navy (1951-55), he served aboard the U.S.S. Missouri during the Korean War.

After earning a degree in business administration from the University of Washington, he began his career in corporate finance at Boeing in 1959, and retired as the director of benefits in 1995.

He married Rebecca Eldridge on July 16, 1983, in Des Moines, where he lived from 1982 to 1996. They traveled in Africa and Australia, among other places.

He was a member of Twin Lakes Golf and Country Club.

Survivors include his wife; children Bill Casey of Federal Way, Shawna and Regan Bass of Kirkland, Marla Casey of Sherman Oaks, Calif., Pam and Andy Zollers of Issaquah, and Krista and Curt Brotherton of Kent; a sister Bernice Casey of Bellevue; and seven grandchildren.

A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 16 at Twin Lakes Golf and Country Club. Remembrances may be made to Children’s Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 50020 M/S S200, Seattle, WA 98145-5020.
