Laurene Rittenhouse of Kent died July 16 at Valley Medical Center in Renton.

She was 61.

She was born Aug. 29, 1943 in Alhambra, Calif. She married Terry Rittenhouse on Dec. 20, 1978 in Seattle.

She worked at Pacific Metallurgical in Kent.

She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and her cats.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Robert Mahan, and a daughter, Shelley Sheridan, both of Auburn; her mother, Beverly Sanders of Kent; and three grandchildren.

A private family service was held July 16.
