CLARE CHRISTENSEN

Clare Christensen, age 88 of Des Moines, Washington passed away on December 25, 2018. She was born on March 18, 1930 in Junius, South Dakota to John and Florence Allgaier.

Clare is survived by her former husband, “Chris”, her son, Kyle, daughters, Carol Riggio and Connie Powell, and her sister, Myrtle Boer in Madison, SD. She has 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Her son, Terry Christensen, 21, a graduate of Mt. Rainier High School and Green River College died in 1976.

Clare loved flower gardening, sewing, her beloved cats, dogs, and Cockatiel. Clare was a Registered Nurse and worked at St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way for 5 years before retiring in 1993.

There will be a Celebration of Life at 1pm January 26th at 728 South 225th St., Des Moines, WA. Memorial donations may be made to Emerald City Pet Rescue in Seattle.
