Candice Rae Blake | Obituary

Candice Rae Blake, 72, of Federal Way WA, passed away on May 18, 2022, following a stroke that resulted in traumatic brain injury. Candice, also known as “CJ” was born on June 27, 1949 in Seattle, Washington to Bob Blanchard and Lorna Snider. Candice Rae Blake is survived by Faith Blanchard, Christina Blanchard, Charles Blanchard.

After graduating from Chief Sealth High School in 1967. Candice studied for a year at Lutheran Bible Institute. At 19, she began her career in entertainment as she was an accomplished dancer and music performer. Candice worked as a music entertainer and became sought after and was regularly booked at the MGM Grand, Vegas Riviera, Four Queens and others in the 1970’s in Las Vegas. In 1980, Candice moved back to the Seattle area and worked in local nightclubs as an entertainer and taught private music lessons. Candice continued working as a music entertainer until 1994.

She then worked different jobs such as: pest control, real estate agent, electrical work, opened a music academy school and in 2002, opened “All Star Canine Solutions,” where she boarded and trained dogs.

Candice was a unique person, a loyal friend, an independent thinker, and enriched the lives of so many people. She possessed wisdom and discernment and was always willing to help others. She leaves behind many loved ones of whom she had a tremendous impact. She will be dearly missed.

Celebration of Life will be held at: Steel Lake Park (Federal Way) August 21, 2022 from 12:00pm – 3:00pm.
