Meals available in Auburn, Federal Way

Between June 22 and Aug. 28, the YMCA of Greater Seattle will sponsor its annual summer free meal program for students ages 18 and younger who are enrolled in its various childcare programs.

The YMCA will serve breakfast from 8:30 to 9 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the YMCA Lea Hill Child Development Center, 12832 Southeast 312th St., Auburn. The Y will also serve lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Federal Way Community Center, 876 S. 333rd St., Federal Way.

The Y’s generosity encompasses kids who are members of Washington Basic Food households, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families assistance units, or households that receive benefits from Food Distribution Programs on Indian Reservations.

Also eligible for free food benefits are children who are enrolled in YMCA programs and are members of one-person households with an annual income of $21,978 at the low end all the way up to children who are members of eight-person households with an annual income of $75,647. For households that exceed eight people, add $7,696 for each additional member.
