Valley Cities receives $2,000 grant for mental health program

Valley Cities Counseling in Federal Way received a $2,000 grant from the Puget Sound Energy Foundation to support Valley Cities’ Mental Health First Aid Community Program.

Valley Cities Counseling in Federal Way received a $2,000 grant from the Puget Sound Energy Foundation to support Valley Cities’ Mental Health First Aid Community Program.

Valley Cities has offered Mental Health First Aid training to organizations and community members at locations throughout South King County since 2010.

Mental Health First Aid is an eight-hour course that was developed by national experts and designed to train members of the public to address and support people with mental health challenges and refer them to qualified professionals.
