The Pointe Church at Federal Way to host first service

The church is hosting its launch service at 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15 in the newly remodeled First Baptist Church of Federal Way.

It’s a time for new beginnings at The Pointe Church at Federal Way.

The church is hosting its launch service at 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15 in the newly remodeled First Baptist Church of Federal Way building located at 30029 16th Ave. S. between Federal Way High School and Sacajawea Middle School.

The church is pastored by Stephen Searles, a church planter from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, by way of the sending Brazos Pointe Fellowship in Lake Jackson, Texas.

“Come see what it’s like to be seen, heard and known,” said Searles.

Searles will be going through the book of John over the course of the first year in a now wide-open, renovated building with cushioned folding chairs. Services feature contemporary music led by guitarist Jason Kim. The dress code is casual.

Delfino Neira is the associate pastor. The church also include a remodeled children’s area and nursery are provided downstairs led by Searles’ wife, Jess.
