Suspect plots to kill unborn child | Federal Way crime blotter

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• Plot to kill: At 11:28 p.m. March 20 in the 36100 block of 3rd Place South, police received a call about a suspicious vehicle. Contact with a suspect and a victim inside the vehicle revealed the suspect had planned to kill the victim’s unborn child. The suspect was arrested.

• Wire theft: At 10:53 p.m. March 19 at 27400, an officer noticed lights were out in a park and ride lot. The source of the problem appeared to be copper wire theft.

• Stolen phones: At 2:40 p.m. March 19 at 1922 S. Commons, a report of an overnight theft of several cell phones from locked cabinets in an AT&T kiosk was submitted.

• Breaking and entering: At 9:24 p.m. March 20 at 36201 Enchanted Parkway S., a Wild Waves security person reported three males breaking into a building located on site while the park was closed. The suspects were juveniles.

• Gas thief: At 1:49 p.m. March 21 in the 31400 block of 7th Place Southwest, a victim reported his or her vehicle’s gas line was cut and eight to 10 gallons of gas was stolen from the vehicle, which was parked in the driveway.

• Swiped tools: At 11:17 a.m. March 21 in the 33400 block of 42nd Avenue Southwest, a Craftsman table saw, valued at $300, was reported stolen from the victim’s back deck.

• Abuse: At 1:27 a.m. March 22 at an undisclosed location on 13th Avenue South, a student disclosed to school staff that he is abused by his mother.

• Attempted burglary: At 11:55 a.m. March 22 in the 27600 block of 26th Avenue South, a witness saw several suspects loading a vehicle with electronics. The witness reported a burglary in place. One suspect was arrested. Others escaped.

• Recovered vehicle: At 9:41 a.m. March 22 in the 32200 block of Military Road South, a stolen 1997 Honda was recovered.
