Seattle Children’s Federal Way Clinic receives $5M for renovation

Seattle Children’s Federal Way outpatient clinic will receive $5 million in federal funding for a renovation to expand its mental and behavioral health services for kids and adolescents in the Federal Way and South Sound area.

It’s one of several regional projects that received funding from the $1.7 trillion federal budget passed by Congress and signed by President Joe Biden in December 2022.

The clinic, located at 34920 Enchanted Parkway S. near Costco, includes an urgent care department and pediatric specialists in more than two dozen practice areas, according to Seattle Children’s Hospital.

“We are grateful for the $5 million federal support, which will go to the renovation of the Seattle Children’s outpatient clinic in Federal Way,” Seattle Children’s wrote in a statement.

The $5 million boost will also help the clinic work with other community organizations and provide better care for Spanish-speaking patients, the hospital said.
