Game turns ugly: At 12:36 p.m. Aug. 27 in the 33900 block of 19th Avenue Southwest, during a soccer game, players from both teams got into a fight. Two players from one team stated they were assaulted. No suspect information.

Threat to husband: At 2:17 p.m. Aug. 27 in the 30600 block of 10th Avenue South, a husband and wife got into an argument. The wife grabbed a loaded pistol and pointed it at her husband during the argument. The female was arrested for assault.

Bones found: At 4:21 p.m. Aug. 27 in the 100 block of Southwest Campus Drive, an officer was dispatched to meet with a male who located a bone. The male was not sure if it was human or not, so he brought it to the police station. The officer collected the bone, and responded to the location with the witness. Once there, two more bones were found. All bones were placed into evidence.

Bumper to shin: At 3:10 a.m. Aug. 26 in the 31200 block of Pacific Highway South, an officer responded to a male reporting he was hit by a vehicle around 25 minutes prior to the phone call. The man said he was crossing Pacific Highway South at the crosswalk when a white vehicle clipped his shin with his bumper. He said he tried walking it off, but after about 25 minutes, he called 911. He did not have any visible signs of injury, but complained to officers of pain in his shin. After several questions about the time, the male became uncooperative. Officers checked the traffic cameras for the area, and could not find evidence supporting the man’s claims.

The truth will come out: At 4:33 a.m. Aug. 26 on 16th Avenue South, an officer pulled over the driver of a vehicle for driving without a license. The driver told the officer he did not have an ID on him but gave the officer his name. The officer ran the name, which came back with no record. Believing the man was hiding his real identity, the officer asked the man his name and told him it was his last chance to tell the truth. The officer said the man could be cited for providing a false identity. At that time, the man gave his name, which was verified with a picture, and it came back the man had a warrant out of King County. He was placed into custody and transported to SCORE Jail.

That’s not a baby: At 10:41 a.m. Aug. 26 in the 2100 block of Southwest 336th Street, police were called to Rite Aid for a recent shoplifting call. An employee witnessed a male with a baby stroller steal several bottles of weight-loss supplements. The items were placed in the baby stroller, and the male fled without paying for the items. The total value of the items stolen was $234. The male was last seen pushing the stroller east toward Fred Meyer. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.

Harassment in public: At 7:52 p.m. Aug. 26 in the 1200 block of 336th Street, an anonymous caller reported seeing a male punching a female in the entrance to Kitts Corner Apartments. The female victim was located and suffered from possible broken ribs and internal injuries.

Second choice robbery: At 3:26 p.m. Aug. 25 in the 1900 block of South Commons, a person reported their space at the Commons Mall food court had been entered and various items of food and drink were stolen. The security system shows an unknown male entering the space by hopping over the counter. The male went to the back of the business and, finding no money, took food and drinks.

Social media threat: At 5:59 p.m. Aug. 25 in the 2400 block of Southwest 332nd Street, a victim reported that a person she only knows through social media, but believes lives in Tacoma, was upset because she would not meet him in person. He has sent her several messages threatening to come to her place of employment and cause problems for her. He later sent her a message that he was going to have his friends come there. He made references to robbing the business. The victim was advised to call the police when she works and request patrol checks, as well as to report any suspicious activity and notify her boss.

Attack by car: At 9:10 p.m. Aug. 25 in the 300 block of South 333rd Lane, police were called after a juvenile victim suffered injuries from being struck by a vehicle. He said several other juveniles also were chased by the male driver. The suspect was located, identified and arrested. After a confession, the male was transported to SCORE Jail, where he was booked for second-degree assault.

Message written in red: At 10:48 a.m. Aug. 24 in the 31800 block of Pacific Highway South, a person reported someone used a red marker to write messages on his business’s emergency door. The messages said things like “shoot cops.” No witnesses or suspect information was available, and a photograph was taken and downloaded into the police record system.

Traffic collision: At 1:35 p.m. Aug. 24 in the 1900 block of Southwest Campus Drive, a man reported via phone that he was in a minor traffic colllision at the exit of an apartment complex. He reported that he exchanged information with the other driver, but she did not have insurance. He said an unknown male showed up, and as he was driving away, broke the rear wiper off the caller’s car and threw it at his vehicle. He did not know the identity of the male.

I thought we were friends: At 6:02 p.m. Aug. 24 in the 27000 block of Pacific Highway South, a 16-year-old victim invited his 16-year-old friend to his house. The victim said that after about five minutes, the friend stole a pair of shoes and a hat from his room and ran out the front door. The victim said he had known his friend for about five months. He said he has never been to his friend’s home, but believes he lives in an apartment at Crestview. The victim said the friend does not go to school. Police checked with the Crestview management, but no one was listed living there under the suspect’s name.
