Federal Way resident Michael Kidd of Kidd Ministries presented a donation of cell phones and food to Federal Way Sunrise Rotary president Brian Ailinger on Sept. 29.

Rotary works with another company to sell or donate used cell phones. Kidd Ministries works with youth and older adults with a history of substance abuse, all in an effort to make those people functioning members of the community, Kidd said.

“We’re not giving handouts,” he said. “We’re giving hand-ups.”
