A man riding an electric scooter was seriously injured when a vehicle struck him on Thursday night in Federal Way.

At approximately 8:30 p.m., a vehicle near South Star Lake Road and Military Road South struck the man in his 20s, according to Federal Way police. The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.

Police said the driver of the vehicle was cooperative and police determined he was not impaired at the time of the collision.
