The primary election results are in for King County Council Position 7. According to the King County Elections website, as of Tuesday night, incumbent Pete von Reichbauer and Dominique Torgerson have received the votes needed to move on to the general election in November.

As of Tuesday night, von Reichbauer received 9,922 votes amounting to 55.6% of total votes cast. Torgerson received 2,905 votes (16.28%), while fellow challengers Lydia Assefa-Dawson received 2,828 votes (15.85%) and Saudia Abdullah received 2,094 votes (11.73%).

Primary election results will be certified Aug. 17. The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 2.
