The following is a sample from the Federal Way police log Aug. 24-29.

Aug. 24

Apartment shot: At about 12:55 a.m. near the 100 block of SW Campus Drive, a person’s apartment was shot at with a rifle. There were no injuries reported and there is no suspect information.

Damaged restaurants: At about 6:31 p.m. near the 1800 block of South Commons, a woman threw rocks at the Applebees and Mama Stortini restaurants damaging the buildings. The sect also threw rocks to three different vehicles in the parking lot, causing damage estimated to cost over $750. The suspect was arrested and booked into jail.

Drive-thru damage: At about 9:33 p.m. near the 2000 block of SW Campus Drive, an officer responded to the Taco Bell for reports of a shattered drive-thru window. The employees told officers the juvenile suspects fled from the location. No witnesses able to identify suspects.

Aug. 25

DUI driver: At about 1:14 a.m. near the 35200 block of enchanted Parkway South, police officers were conducting scene security for an incident when a silver SUV drove through the crime scene tape and around a fully marked police patrol vehicle with its lights on. The vehicle continued north before stopping. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

Hit-and-run: At about 12:03 p.m. near the 1500 block of South Dash Point Road, a driver was arrested for driving under the influence after a hit-and-run collision.

Robbery at WinCo: At about 2:30 p.m. near the 160 block of SW Campus Drive, officers responded to a strong arm robbery at WinCo Foods. When officers arrived on scene, the involved persons were located. Police arrested two suspects on assault, theft and harassment charges. The female suspect was booked into Kent Jail. The male suspect was cited and released.

Aug. 26

Armed robbery: At about 3:15 a.m. near the 34700 block of Pacific Highway South, police responded to an armed robbery at a gas station. A suspect was armed with a handgun and pointed it at the cashier while requesting money from both registers. The suspect left on a bicycle.

Aug. 27

Pointed gun: At about 12:15 a.m. Near the 2300 block of SW 336th Street, multiple people called 911 to report a man pointed a gun inside a business. The suspect fled prior to police arrival, but was later located. The suspect was arrested and booked into jail.

Aug. 28

Assault on the field: At about 3:18 p.m. near the 30600 block of 16th Avenue South, two men were involved in an assault during a soccer match at a sports field in Federal Way. No injuries reported.

Costly crystals stolen: At about 2:57 p.m. near the 1900 block of South Commons, an unknown suspect unlawfully entered the Positive Vibes store inside The Commons mall and stole boxes of crystal merchandise worth approximately $12,000. There was no forced entry.

Cannabis candy: At about 10:50 p.m. near the 1000 block of South 320th Street, hospital staff called police to report two juveniles ate candy with cannabis and required treatment.

Aug. 29

Hit-and-run: At about 5 a.m. near the 30200 block of 27th Avenue South, officers responded to a multiple vehicle accident. After investigation, a male suspect was arrested for driving while license suspended and hit-and-run.

Swinging machete: At about 1:49 p.m. near the 35400 block of 12th Avenue SW, a third party witness told police that two brothers got into a verbal altercation. At one point, one of the brothers picked up a machete and began swinging it around. Both brothers fled the scene and were not located.

FUSION truck stolen: At about 12:36 p.m. near the 1500 block of South 328th Street, three men drove into the Pete Andersen FUSION Family Center parking lot in Federal Way. One man exited the vehicle and stole FUSION’s F150 truck, according to the nonprofit. A police report was taken.
