Jar of weed booked for destruction | Federal Way Police Blotter

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log.

Sept. 17

Strong arm robbery: At around 7:30 p.m. near 2507 S. 286th Pl., police received reports that a resident of Villa Capri Apartments was “strong arm” robbed by a male acquaintance. Police reported that she was uncooperative and did not wish to aid in prosecution.

Sept. 18

Hotel arson: At 4:50 a.m., police were given the identification of an individual who allegedly had purposefully set a fire in a hotel. The man was involuntarily committed to treatment.

Mystery gunshot wound: At 1:24 p.m. near 29805 Pacific Hwy. S., a male was dropped off with a gunshot wound in his left thigh. The male was reportedly uncooperative and was later found to not be credible. Police say all leads are exhausted on the investigation.

Stolen Chihuahua: At 4:22 p.m. near 1801 S. Commons, police received reports that a woman had parked at Applebee’s before returning to see the driver door of her truck open. Her one-year-old Chihuahua dog was gone along with some personal items. Police were unable to find the dog, but it does have an identification chip.

Sept. 19

Motel trash fire: At 3:07 a.m. near 33300 Pacific Hwy. S., police received reports of a trash fire in front of the Eastwind Motel. The fire was not active when police arrived, but police did find evidence of a charred pizza box and a burnt paper plate. The suspects could not be found and no damage occurred to property.

Crowbar assault: At 8:10 a.m. near 33505 13th Pl. S., police received reports that a victim had been attacked with a crowbar in the stomach and on the face. The suspect fled the scene and was apprehended a short distance away.

Sept. 20

Vehicle hits building: At 5:06 a.m. near 29500 Pacific Hwy. S., police were dispatched to a commercial alarm. On the phone, the building owner reported that a vehicle had crashed into the building, striking the door, before leaving. When police arrived, the vehicle was gone and nothing had been taken.

Sept. 21

Drive-by shooting victim: At 11:26 a.m. near 35422 25th Ave. SW., police received reports that a male had come home with a gunshot wound in his left thigh. He claimed he was shot in a drive-by shooting. He was reportedly vague about where it occurred. Witnesses reported seeing the victim walking in the area of the Tahoma gas station in NE Tacoma. The investigation is ongoing.

Jar of weed found near school: At 11:57 p.m. at Decatur High School, a school resource officer found a jar of marijuana in the bushes on campus. No one was found to be associated, and the jar was booked for destruction.
