Dr. Lisa Skari, Vice President for Institutional Advancement for Highline College, has been named the 11th president of Mount Hood Community College in Gresham, Oregon, effective this July.
Skari has worked for Highline College for 26 years, serving first as an adjunct faculty member and, later, as an administrator in Academic Affairs before moving to lead the then-new Institutional Advancement division in 2001. Highline College reports that as vice president since 2005, Skari has provided active and values-informed leadership to fundraising activities, outreach programs, the Tenure Review Committee, a range of college-to-community connections, and the college’s success in acquiring grants.
According to an announcement by Mount Hood Community College, Skari was chosen among five finalists and “stood out as a bold and innovative leader, qualities that will bode well for the future of the college.”
