Jet Cities Chorus celebrates 60 years: Jet Cities Chorus celebrated our 60th anniversary this summer with a picnic, cake and camaraderie. Its was great to be able to get together and celebrate after the long Covid hibernation! Jet Cities has enjoyed being a regular performer for the annual Blue Poppy Day at the Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden in Federal Way. After two years of canceled Sweet Adelines Regional Competitions, the chorus finally had the opportunity to compete in the Region 13 contest this year. This was done virtually since we still were wary of getting hundreds of singers together. We scheduled a ‘Friends and Family night’, set up our video recording equipment, and recorded our contest songs. All of the recordings were broadcast on-line as a virtual contest and judging score sheets were recorded. Jet Cities Chorus won fifth place medals! We are ecstatic and can’t wait until next May when we hope to have a real in-person competition.

First, Jet Cities Chorus call out: Jet Cities Chorus has fully returned to in-person rehearsals and we invite women interested in singing to visit our rehearsals held Monday evenings at Journey Church. Contact us via email for questions/details at jetcitieschorus@gmail.com. We are also polishing up our holiday music repertoire and we are looking forward to setting up ‘singout’ gigs around the area. If you are interested in having Jet Cities sing for you or your group/organization, please contact us via our email. Visit jetcities.org for announcements on where we will be singing during the holidays.
