Have you ever felt bewildered as you looked under the hood of a car? Have you ever wondered what you would do if your car broke down on the highway away from home?

Kim Brown spent this last summer on a professional racing team, tearing engines and transmissions apart between races. He was trained by the real racing professionals, and now he is behind the wheel of a 425-horsepower nitrous fired sportsman class drag racing machine. Brown is going to lead a class of six people through a 10-week course on the essentials of each sub-system of a race car. Participants will learn how to diagnose and perform many repair and maintenance operations that only professional garage mechanics normally do. Participants who sign up for this pilot program can be the first to actually ride in a nitrous fired drag racing machine.

Class will cover the following: introduction to the automobile; fluid Levels; electrical System; lubrication System; fuel System; cooling System; ignition System; suspension & Steering; braking system; drivetrains and types
