Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Week for Oct. 8: Owen Tonseth

TJHS senior Owen Tonseth is a tennis team captain and holds a 4.0 GPA.

Thomas Jefferson High School senior Owen Tonseth, tennis, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Week for Oct. 8.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: Math – calculus.

Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?

A: Video games, hanging out with friends and being in band.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My parents, Mr. V and Mr. Norris.

Q: The best advice I’ve ever been given by a coach is:

A: “Play relaxed, have fun.”

Q: Describe your pre-match ritual and your favorite post-match meal?

A: Pre-match: Crack jokes with my teammates. Post-game meal: mom’s cooking!

Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?

A: “Crazy Train” by Ozzy Osbourne.

From the sideline: TJHS senior Owen Tonseth is a team captain with a 4.0 GPA. He constantly demonstrates leadership and encourages his teammates regularly. Owen never gives up!
