Drunken woman bites officers’ shoes, headbutts friend

Ex-boyfriend: At 12:49 a.m. Aug. 20 near the 1000 block of South 308th Street, police conducted a welfare check on a female. The female was not suicidal, but did say she had just broken up with her boyfriend and was stressed because her ex was threatening to tell personal intimate things about her to a third party if she didn’t end another relationship. The female said she would like to obtain a no-contact order. Officers advised that she cut off all communication with her ex, but save any further communications from him for documentation. She said she would press criminal charges if the situation escalates.

Vehicle collision: At 3:31 p.m. Aug. 19 near the 35000 block of Enchanted Parkway South at the Olive Garden, there was a two-vehicle minor collision in the parking lot. After the minor collision, one man stood in front of the other’s vehicle and would not move. The man in the vehicle pulled his car ahead into a parking stall while the other male claimed he was hit when the driver did this.

Drunk and disorderly: At 12:20 a.m. Aug. 18 near the 100 block of South 330th Street, an officer arrived on scene to a woman who was stumbling and smelled strongly of alcohol. The woman reportedly attempted to touch the officer multiple times. She then tried opening the officer’s vehicle and attempted to sit on the officer. According to the police report, she was up and down emotionally and even tried striking her friend. She went on to attempt opening random vehicles as well as the officer’s vehicle again. She then fell over and stopped breathing. The officer reported that she later got up and started hitting her head against concrete and was biting the shoes of the officers on scene. Her friend came to hug her, but the woman started headbutting her. She was also drooling and seemed to be attempting to spit on the officers. She was deaf and mute.

Gunshot wound: At 2:46 a.m. Aug. 18 near the 300 block of 26th Avenue SW, a victim was reportedly robbed at gunpoint and his backpack was taken. The victim was shot in the stomach, causing a graze wound. The victim was treated by South King Fire and Rescue. The victim refused to prosecute.

Threat with knife: At 10:12 p.m. Aug. 17 near the 27000 block of Pacific Highway South, police were dispatched to the listed address for a verbal domestic violence call with the possibility of a butcher knife involved. Upon police arrival, the victim was contacted and said her mother threatened to kill her with the knife. The victim also said she was not afraid, as she did not believe her mother would be capable of using the knife in that manner. The victim did not wish to provide a written statement and did not want to assist with prosecution. She left the area with her belongings.

Concealed merchandise: At 7:22 a.m. Aug. 15 near the 1900 block of South 314th Street, employees at the business attempted to contact and detain a subject in the store suspected of shoplifting. According to the police report, the subject then assaulted an employee and threatened the use of a knife to maintain control of the situation and the concealed items. The subject grabbed a rock and threatened to hit employees with it. The subject was later arrested and taken to SCORE Jail.

Facebook harassments: At 2:27 p.m. Aug. 15 near the 1900 block of SW Campus Drive, a parent reported to police that her 16-year-old daughter had discovered from friends that a suspect had made indirect threats via Facebook to assault the daughter. The daughter has had past incidents with the suspect during school. The girl’s parent wanted the incident documented and told officers she will be seeking an anti-harassment court order.

Shipping container nap: At 9:31 a.m. Aug. 14 near the 1600 block of South 330th Street, a male was contacted while sleeping on top of a shipping container on a church property at the listed location. The man had reportedly been trespassed for the same reason previously. He was cited and released by officers.

Domestic assault: At 7:15 p.m. Aug. 14 near the 31500 block of 1st Avenue South, police responded to a suspect (adult son) punching his father repeatedly in the face causing pain and cuts on the victim’s nose and elbow. The suspect also reportedly tried to strangle the victim during the fight. The suspect left prior to police arrival. Police have established probable cause and the case will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for formal charges.
