Desna Cup celebrates soccer, culture in Federal Way

It all started with a group of enthusiastic immigrants from Russia who created the very first Desna soccer team in 1999.

Desna Cup celebrated its 12th annual international sports tournament and cultural festival over the weekend in Federal Way. The three-day event included sports activities, soccer and volleyball tournaments, cultural programs, a Soviet car display, traditional foods and family fun. Desna Soccer Club is a local organization established in Federal Way. It all started with a group of enthusiastic immigrants from Russia who created the very first Desna soccer team in 1999.
