Crime blotter: Feb. 23, 2008

The following is a sample from the Federal Way police public information log:

• At 12:16 p.m. Feb. 18, an officer returned to work after taking his days off and discovered a crack pipe on the floorboard in the back-seat of his patrol car parked at City Hall. The officer photographed the crack pipe and as he was booking it into evidence, he accidentally dropped it on the ground and it shattered. He then disposed of it.

• At 4:50 p.m. Feb. 18, a burglar entered an apartment at 1805 S. 281st Place and stole $200 in cash and coins from a little girl’s piggy bank.

• At 3:31 a.m. Feb. 17, officers responded to reports of an assault with a knife at 2012 S. 320th St.

• At 4:10 a.m. Feb. 17, a man broke down the door of his ex-girlfriend’s apartment at 27910 Pacific Highway South and assaulted the woman’s current boyfriend with a knife.

• At 2:19 a.m. Feb. 17, a man was assaulted by an unknown man at the El Salvador restaurant, 31200 Pacific Highway South. The victim suffered a broken tooth and required stitches.

• At 9:23 a.m. Feb. 15, a person reported that someone shot BB pellets through a window in their home at 3816 S. 35th Place.

• At 5:03 p.m. Feb. 15, an officer stopped a 15-year-old girl near 1400 S.W. 320th Place who was driving her father’s truck without permission. Witnesses reported seeing the truck swerving and hitting a curb.

• At 7:16 p.m. Feb. 13, a driver reported that another driver flashed a gun during a road rage incident near 34800 Pacific Highway South.

• At 4:45 p.m. Feb. 11, a bus driver reported that someone shot and shattered a school bus window while the bus was driving through a neighborhood near 3600 11th Ave. S.W.
