Armed man attempts to rob woman at ATM | Police blotter

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log Sept. 29 to Oct. 5.

Sept. 29

Woman robbed: At about 12:29 a.m. near the 100 block of S. 357th Street, officers responded to an armed robbery with a gun. The victim was robbed at gunpoint for her wallet, phone and necklace.

Stolen backpack: At about 9:49 a.m. near the 2410 block of S. 312th Street, a woman went to Steel Lake Park and secured her backpack in her vehicle’s trunk. An unknown suspect broke the vehicle window, accessed the trunk released and stole the backpack. No suspect information available.

Sept. 30

Non-student concerns: At about 8:03 a.m. near the 2800 block of SW 320th Street, parents reported aggressive behavior of a non-student and resources were provided.

Student with gun: At about 1:14 p.m. near the 30600 block of 16th Avenue South, a student was found to be in possession of a stolen firearm and was booked into juvenile detention.

Oct. 1

Boyfriend points gun: At about 11:21 a.m. near the 29200 block of Military Road South, a woman was assaulted by her boyfriend and he pointed a gun at her face. The boyfriend was not immediately located.

Oct. 2

Shooting: At about 12:49 a.m. near the 32700 block of 39th Ave SW, police responded to a shooting involving a 21-year-old woman who was shot in the leg with non-life threatening injuries. Neighbors described a light colored/white sedan driving rapidly away but there was no further description of the vehicle and no description of possible suspects.

Cars broken into at church: At about 7:41 p.m. near the 34800 block of 21st Avenue SW, both victims were attending a church service when unknown suspects broke their respective vehicles’ windows and stole items from within. A pair of sunglasses, backpack and a laptop were among the stolen items. No viable suspects.

Oct. 3

Concrete in blanket: At about 10:59 a.m. near the 32400 block of Pacific Highway South, a transient man threw a blanket with a block of concrete into the roadway. A vehicle was struck by the blanket and concrete. The impact punctured the victim’s oil pan and caused the vehicle to stop. The suspect fled on foot and was not located.

Kids pepper spray walker: At about 6:42 p.m. near the 33100 block of the BPA Trail, a person was randomly pepper sprayed by one of three juveniles on bikes while out for a walk. The person didn’t want to press charges. The identities of the juveniles are unknown.

Oct. 4

Woman held at gunpoint at ATM: At about 1:05 p.m. near the 35105 block of Enchanted Parkway South, a person attempted to make a deposit at an ATM. A man pointed a gun at her and told her to take money out of her account. The woman refused and began screaming, then the man got into a beige car and was driven away.

Upset Lyft rider: At about 11:45 p.m. near the 30900 block of 1st Avenue South, a Lyft driver was called to pick up some riders. When he arrived, there were too many people to fit in the vehicle and he refused to drive them. One of the riders got upset and threw a drink at him. The rider was not located.

Oct. 5

Shooting: At about 5:52 p.m. near the 31800 block of 7th Avenue South, officers responded to reports of a shooting near a church on 7th Avenue South. Officers located a 38-year-old man with several gunshot wounds. The man was airlifted to Harborview with life-threatening injuries. Two men were seen leaving the area in a blue truck. Detectives are investigating.
