Missing daughter: At 1:46 p.m. March 13, a caller reported that his adult daughter is an endangered and missing person. The man told police his daughter is addicted to heroin and methamphetamines, and said he hadn’t heard from her in about a month. He checked the 27200 block of Pacific Highway South in Federal Way where she normally frequents. She has gone missing before, according to the father, but normally contacts family after two or three days.

Aggressive parents: At 3:56 p.m. March 13 in the 1700 block of Southwest 308th Place, it was reported that a husband and wife went to pick up their 7-year-old son at Adelaide Elementary when they saw a mother of a 6-year-old boy that their children have had bullying issues with. An argument ensued outside the school. The mother of the 6-year-old went home and was confronted outside her apartment by the parents of the 7-year-old boy. The mother’s husband came outside with a pistol for self-defense out of fear the couple was going to assault them. No crime was committed. The school’s administrators told the aggressive parents that they needed to confront the mother regarding the alleged bullying, so they did.

Unwanted visitor: At 9:37 a.m. March 12 in the 1000 block of South 320th Street, officers were dispatched to the Extended Stay America regarding an unwanted person. An employee stated the male was found in a room that had not been rented out since Feb. 26. The man was identified. Police also found narcotics in the bathroom, but the male denied they were his. The man was trespassed from the property, and the narcotics were booked into evidence.

Careless mistake with gun: At 8:42 a.m. March 12, police responded to the Starbucks at 34024 Hoyt Road Southwest after someone found a firearm inside of the restroom. Officers located the firearm inside of a holster, and determined the weapon was not stolen after checking the serial number. The owner, who happened to still be at the coffee shop at the time, was found and police learned he had no felony convictions or warrants. The firearm was unloaded and placed into a paper bag, and the gun was then returned to the owner. He was instructed to handle it again once he got home. The man apologized for his carelessness and said he forgot he left it in the restroom. There was no crime.
