Items from the Federal Way police public information log

The following is a sample from the Federal Way police public information log:

• On March 26 at 2400 S.W. 336th St., a Jack In The Box employee reported a man was urinating in the drive-through. Police contacted the man and placed him in custody.

• At 10:30 a.m. March 25 at 2004 S. 301st St., officers responded to a theft from a truck. The truck’s registration, owner’s proof of insurance and the vehicle manual was stolen, as well as $300 in gift cards.

• At 10:36 a.m. March 26 at 1310 S.W. 325th Place, a 10-year-old female student reported that an adult white male in his 30s, who gave his name as Bill, approached her in a park near the school while the girl waited for her mother to pick her up. The man grabbed the girl’s leg, but she was able to escape.

• On March 25, officers responded to a report of prescription drug fraud at the Federal Way Rite Aid. The female suspect was arrested and transported to the police station.

• At 8:40 a.m. March 25 at 2207 S.W. 334th Place, a victim reported she had a maintenance person in her apartment fixing the water heater and later discovered a suitcase, toy train and single-burner butane stove were missing. Police contacted the apartment complex manager and maintenance person in question.

• At 11:31 a.m. March 23 at 31031 21st Place S.W., a Federal Way Storage employee reported that several storage units were broken into and the suspect was caught on video surveillance. The employee contacted the storage units’ renters. Only one reported that items were stolen.

• At 6:20 p.m. March 23 at 2800 S.W. 344th St., a witness called and reported a possible drunk driver. Police followed up on the tip and arrested the driver for driving under the influence.

• At 8:43 a.m. March 21 at 1909 S. 341st Place, a broadcasting station employee reported that someone threw a rock through an exterior window of the station. No suspects have been identified in this case.

• At 10:14 a.m. March 24 at 2100 S. Commons, a burglary case was reported. An unknown suspect entered the closed business and stole a statue and approximately $600 in cash. Police have no leads or suspects in this case.

• At 4:25 p.m. March 24 at 2414 S. 298th St., a victim reported he received a letter via mail from Canada. The letter requested the victim send a check to claim a sweepstakes prize. The victim reported a loss of $3,150 from the scam. The suspect could not be reached.
