ILLEGAL FIREWORKS

Because of noise, injuries, and fires, all fireworks are illegal within the city limits of Federal Way. The Federal Way Police Department reports that it will conduct special emphasis patrols throughout the city before and during the Independence Day holiday. Possessing or lighting off fireworks is a $615 ticket and the fireworks will be confiscated, according to the police department.
