Members of the 2017-18 Federal Way High School boys basketball team celebrated Literacy Week by reading to kindergartners in Debbie Salisbury’s class at Adelaide Elementary Monday morning. During their annual visit, the Eagles answered the younger students’ questions, ranging from their favorite thing to read, favorite food and place they want to visit the most. After getting to know each other, the high school students took turns reading “Pig the Pug” to the kindergartners. Then the group went to the school gym for a pizza party and a hoops demonstration, where the Eagle players satisfied the youngsters’ curiosity on things like how to sink a shot from mid court.
