City offering Spring Break Camp for children

Weeklong camp runs from April 2-6 at Federal Way Community Center.

The city is offering a day camp for children in kindergarten through sixth grade at the Federal Way Community Center, 876 S. 333rd St., during spring break.

Spring Break Camp will be in session from April 2 to April 6. Campers can be dropped off as early as 6:30 a.m. and picked up before 6 p.m. Daily activities include swimming, rock climbing, crafts, gym games and songs. A field trip to Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium is also planned.

Registration cost for the entire week is $190 or registration by the day is $45 Monday through Friday except Wednesday and $50 Wednesday. There is also a $10 day-of registration fee, but there will not be day-of registration on Wednesday.

Responsible teens ages 13 to 16 who want some experience working as a day camp leader can sign up for Counselor in Training Camp. Teens will learn leadership skills and hands-on experience in leading games and activities. Cost is $130 for the week.
