Listen to voices of reason during worldwide disaster

To the citizens of Federal Way and leaders at all levels of government: Tune out Trump.

It’s time to make a decision.

How do we cope in the face of a worldwide disaster like we’ve never seen?

We’re being inundated by media information. Unfortunately we’re getting a steady stream of misinformation and mixed messages. People are asking themselves the same questions. “Who should I listen to for advice?” “Who can I trust?”

Common sense gives us the answer. “Listen to voices of reason.” Voices of reason are in short supply at every level of government.

Today, I see two outstanding voices of reason. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

Both have a long list of credentials too long to list. Both have a long history of public service. Both speak objectively and articulately. That is, unless Trump censors them.

Trump is already showing signs of irritation because Dr. Fauci gets more public attention. Governor Cuomo and all governors are “on the bubble” now that Trump publicly announced that all governors must pay him “allegiance” in order to receive attention. Trump has already explicitly disavowed Governor Inslee.

To the citizens of Federal Way and leaders at all levels of government: Tune out Trump. Ignore his tweets and news conferences that he uses to further his presidential campaign.

Put health before economy and listen to voices of reason.
