Crosswalk reeks of danger

Now that we understand yellow traffic lights, would the person responsible for changing our “once safe” walk lights please come over to the intersection of 312th Street and Pacific Highway South in Federal Way?

And at various times throughout the day and night, cross at the crosswalk from the Chevron station, going west toward H-Mart? (By the way, take off our suit, wear casual clothes.)

Somebody decided to have the left-turn arrow blink continuously while the walk light is still on. I have almost been hit six times now, by left-turning vehicles, and I am talking mere inches. I have informed my daughter and my friends that if I get hit by a vehicle and get seriously hurt and/or die because of my right to cross on a walk light, then they are to sue the city and the state.

I value my life and don’t believe my life or anybody’s life should be put in jeopardy just because someone thought it would be a good idea to let drivers decide just how close their caution could take them.

Hair growing grayer at every crossing,

Pat Scott,

Federal Way
