Sleep Country collected a record-breaking number of shoes for foster kids during its annual donation drive — 10,203 pairs.

Sleep Country collected a record-breaking number of shoes for foster kids during its annual donation drive — 10,203 pairs. This is a 27 percent increase over 2014.

In the Seattle metro area alone, which includes Federal Way, people made 6,692 donations. The drive ended on June 7 and all donations will be distributed among Sleep Country’s partner foster organizations in the Northwest.

For those who missed the shoe drive and would like to give back now, Sleep Country is hosting its annual clothing drive for Foster Kids, collecting new clothing items for all ages and sizes, such as jeans, T-shirts, sweatshirts and packaged undergarments.
