The CHI Franciscan Care Transformation Team won the Health Care Delivery category at the 2016 Leaders in Health Care Awards for their use of virtual urgent care and diabetes education, implementation of regional telemetry monitoring of patient’s heart rhythms, and virtual intensive care unit monitoring.

CHI Franciscan Health was honored at a dinner held Feb. 25 at the Seattle Marriot Waterfront. The winners of the awards were chosen by Seattle Business Magazine.

Matt Levi, director of care transformation and virtual health services for CHI Franciscan, accepted the award, acknowledging that the launch of CHI Franciscan’s virtual urgent care service helped the system look at other care models.

“The success we are experiencing with virtual urgent care gave us a solid foundation to launch a growing suite of virtual health services including virtual intensive care nursing support and diabetes management,” commented Levi. “Thanks to the success of virtual urgent care, our patients and communities have come to expect a higher level of access and great care from CHI Franciscan Health.”
