My family, I enjoy their energy and spending time with them. They always know how to uplift me.

Federal Way senior Marina Velasco-Bono has cemented her place as one of the most accomplished wrestlers in program history. A four-year letter winner and starter for the Eagles, Velasco-Bono currently ranks second all-time in career wins, surpassing the 100-win milestone earlier this season. She holds an impressive 113-37 career record, including 91 pins. Velasco-Bono is a three-time State Tournament qualifier and earned a 7th place finish at the state championships during her junior season. Known for her relentless competitiveness, she has battled through injuries throughout her high school career while continuing to perform at a high level.

In addition to her wrestling success, Velasco-Bono is also a leader in Federal Way’s soccer and track programs. Her dedication, work ethic, and leadership across multiple sports make her a standout representative of Federal Way athletics.
