A Mother’s Day love poem

Published 9:00 am Sunday, May 8, 2016

She brings to us her wisdom,

Tendered with mercy arms,

With just the sound of her voice,

She chases away all harms;

From just a touch of her sweet lips,

She brings healing to a scratch,

“Once a Mother always a Mother,”

None other can ever match;

She is the teacher of the ages,

Who gives us wings to reach the sky,

And tells us to wash behind the ears,

Giving guidance to the why;

Willing to take a risk,

And can be demanding and invincible for sure,

A voice of authority ringing out,

To calm the soul and more;

All knowing and amazing,

With “eyes behind her head,”

Loving her seed beyond imagination,

So much more could be said;

Suffice it to say, she’s a Mother,

Who deserves all praise and glory,

For each of us who have one,

Can write our own Love Story.

Happy Mother’s Day!
