Thomas Jefferson High School has been hard at work all summer to make the first harvest of their new Community Garden a successful one.
This garden was designed by graphic arts classes, measured by math classes, created by wood shop classes and planted by teacher volunteers.
With support from all sides, this has been an incredible summer of giving, district officials said.
The school brought three deliveries a week throughout the summer to the different multi-service centers and targeted areas of need, making an impact on their community.
The TJ garden was also inducted into the Federal Way Community Garden Foundation, sharing their mission of grow, teach, and give to their local communities.
