WIAA names Todd Beamer’s Makenzie Bond as an Athlete of the Week

Todd Beamer High School girls basketball player Makenzie Bond was selected as one of the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association Athlete of the Week winners for Week 13.

Bond, a senior, recorded a double-double, scoring 28 points and pulling down 16 rebounds in the Titans’ 61-52 victory over Rogers High School of Puyallup Tuesday.

Each week throughout the school year, the WIAA recognizes varsity athletes who exhibited an outstanding performance for the previous week based on nominations.
