Senior Hailey Still breaks Thomas Jefferson all-time girls soccer scoring record

After Thursday’s game against Auburn, Still holds 110 career goals; record previously held by 2002-3003 player Chelsea Hunt.

With five goals last Thursday, senior Hailey Still broke the all-time girls soccer scoring record in Thomas Jefferson’s history.

TJ defeated Auburn High School in a 6-2 Raider victory on Thursday, Oct. 17.

The previous record of 109 was held by Chelsea Hunt in the 2002-2003 school year.

Still was edging the record at 105 total career goals going into Thursday night’s game.

Immediately upon breaking the record, the game was stopped to retire the soccer ball, which will be displayed in the TJHS showcase upon the conclusion of the season, said TJHS Athletic Director Mike Grady.

She is also closing in on the single season goal record of 37 goals, also held by Chelsea Hunt. Still currently has 33 goals racked up for the season.

She holds the single-game goal record at nine goals, and now is the career leader with her 110 goals — with three league games remaining this season, as well as the playoffs set to begin Nov. 5.
