Federal Way All-City Meet: The Federal Way Eagles dominated their inner-city rivals on their home track. Anthony Frazier won back-to-back events in the 100- and 200-meter dash. Todd Beamer’s Koby Okezie won both of the hurdles’ events. Tony Chan continued his dominance in the shot put for Federal Way with yet another win. Decatur’s Isidore Utu took the top spot in both the discus and javelin, and Rajesh Gill took another win in the 800. Beamer’s Claire Hansen took wins in the high jump and 100 hurdles.

Federal Way 14, Kentlake 1

The Federal Way Eagles won the first-ever North Puget Sound League baseball title and their second consecutive league title at Art Wright Field. Despite securing an early 1-0 lead, Mark Wright and Tyler Muller gave the Eagles the lead for good in the bottom half of the first inning. The Eagles produced nine runs in the fourth inning en route to their ninth straight win.

Decatur 8, Kent-Meridian 2

Seniors Dylan Lydell and JV Magruder led the Decatur Golden Gators. Each had two hits and combined for three RBIs. Tyus Stanley also chipped in with two hits in the win.

Boys Soccer

Auburn Riverside 0, Decatur 0

With the draw, the Decatur Golden Gators secured a second-place finish in the North Puget Sound League Olympic Division and fourth in the league. The Gators will see their first action in the postseason since 2014 at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Tahoma.

Make it nine straight wins for the Beamer Titans after the win over the Jefferson Raiders. JJ Allen, Gregorio Romero and Faraz Hamidani each had goals in the win.

Melissa Mateus had three hits and five RBIs in the win over the Decatur Golden Gators. Senior Jody Scanson had two RBIs, while Payten Hurn scored three runs for the Eagles in the win.

Grace Sunitsch had a big afternoon with four hits and two RBIs for the Beamer Titans, while Callie Davis had three RBIs in the win over the Auburn Trojans.

Boys Soccer

With the win over the Auburn Trojans, the Decatur Golden Gators secured the No. 6 seed in the North Puget Sound League Olympic Division. The Gators came back after trailing 1-0 after the Trojans committed back-to-back fouls in the box, allowing Marcos Santos and Angel Trejo-Delgado to convert two penalty kicks for the win.

Goals: Marcos Santos (71’), Angel Trejo-Delgado (80’+9’).

“We’re excited to be in the playoffs,” Decatur manager Brad Plemons said. “We only need one win to advance to state.”

The Todd Beamer Titans secured the North Puget Sound League Olympic title with the win over the Lions. Senior leaders Austin Stafford and JJ Allen netted both goals for the Titans.

“I’m proud of the way this team has stayed together and all of the hard work the boys have put in so far.” Beamer coach Joel Lindberg said. “We are excited to see how far we can go in the postseason.”

Senior leader Raelyn Gradel led the Beamer Titans with three hits and an RBI in their must-win game over the Auburn Riverside Ravens. Alex Haven and Callie Davis each had a hit and an RBI.

Bill Harris Invite: Decatur (27.5 points) javelin thrower Isidore Utu finished third in the event on the boys side. Tyrasia Haeup-Woolfolk finished second in the 100-meter hurdles for the girls.

Federal Way (162.2) girls took first out of 25 competing programs. Esther Brutus and Josephine Akinlosotu each had top finishes. Akinlosotu finished first in both the long and triple jump. For the boys, Tony Chan continued to dominate in the shot put this season. Chan finished second in the event.

Shelton Invite: Beamer (71.6) 400 runner Malik Malutama took first in the event, while AJ Chopra finished second in the mile. Claire Hansen continues to surpass the competition in the 100 hurdles, and she took first once again, while Madison Heck finished second in the 300 hurdles.

Girls Tennis

Thomas Jefferson 3, Enumclaw 2

The Jefferson Raiders completed the season sweep of the Enumclaw Hornets with the win. After trailing 0-2 going into doubles play, Erica Dillard and Mia Rosa led off the Raiders’ comeback with the 6-1, 6-1 win.
