Thomas Jefferson High School’s Roman Shuck, boys wrestling, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Week for Jan. 12.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: History

Q: What other activities/hobbies do you participate in?

A: Wrestle for his club team and throw events for TJ track team

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: Coach Harvey Cole

Q: Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?

A: Visualize the match in my head while warming up and take a walk after the match

Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?

A: “It’s Not My Time,” by 3 Doors Down

From the Sideline

“Roman placed fifth at the Doc Herren Invitational over the winter break,” coach Harvey Cole said. “As our team captain, he has set the tone for his teammates by placing in every tournament this season. He is an amazingly hard worker.”
