Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Week for Nov. 8: Charles Wight

TJHS senior running back had led Raiders football team to three consecutive wins.

Thomas Jefferson High School senior Charles Wight, football, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Week for Nov. 8.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: Math.

Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?

A: I enjoy going out with family and friends.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My mother.

Q: The best advice I’ve ever been given by a coach is:

A: “Make your own history.”

Q: Describe your pre­-game ritual and favorite post-game meal.

A: Pre-game: I stretch and eat protein. Post-game: I eat steak and my greens.

Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?

A: “No Smoke” by YoungBoy Never Broke Again.

From the sideline: TJHS senior running back Charles Wight led the Raider football program to three wins in a row in the last three weeks. Against Kentlake High School on homecoming night Oct. 25, Charles ran for 247 yards in rushing on 27 carries and five touchdowns in the Raiders 40-32 win. Last Wednesday in the Raiders season final, Charles ran for 167 yards on 13 carries and three touchdowns in the Raiders 35-27 win over the Auburn Trojans.
