Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week: Olivia Chong

Federal Way High School’s Olivia Chong, girls cross country, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for Oct. 27.

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: Biology or any science

Q: What other activities do you participate in?

A: girls tennis, BFF Club, National Honor Society president, scholar advisory team, Leadership, Link Crew, church community service and Federal Way Youth Commission.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: Jillian Chong, little sister

Q: Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?

A: Drinks chocolate milk in the morning; afterward is to sleep

Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?

“Olivia is a student of high character, one who is a leader on the field, as well as off,” Eagles coach Dirk Vanderhulst said. “Olivia is a full Cambridge Student athlete who excels outside the classroom in cross country and girls tennis. This past weekend, Olivia finished 15th at the league meet and helped her team to qualify for district.”
