Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for March 1: Adriana Siva

Decatur girls wrestling captain places 12th at WIAA 4A state tournament.

Decatur High School’s Adriana Siva, girls wrestling, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for March 1.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: Chemistry or just any math course.

Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?

A: Sleeping, hangin’ out with family.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My parents and brothers.

Q: Do you have a pre­game/competition ritual or post­game tradition, and what is it?

A: A prayer with the team.

Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?

A: “My, My, My,” by Johnny Gill.

From the sideline: Senior Adriana Siva is a four-year letter winner in the Decatur High School girls wrestling program. This season was Adriana’s second appearance at the WIAA 4A Mat Classic wrestling tournament, finishing 12th in the 190-pound weight class. Adriana was also an honorable mention in the Individual Academic State Championship. She is the captain of this year’s Decatur team that earned the WIAA 4A Team Academic State Championship for girls wrestling. Adriana also competed on the Decatur volleyball team this fall. Adriana has earned a 3.645 cumulative grade point average in a rigorous college prep schedule including multiple Advanced Placement and Running Start courses.
