Decatur hosting basketball camp June 27-29

Decatur High School boys basketball will host the 2017 Gator Basketball Camp from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. from June 27-29 at the Decatur High School gymnasium.

This year marks 24 years for the Decatur basketball camp.

The camp will include daily sessions on basketball fundamentals, offensive and defensive skills, organized games, skill competitions, as well as clinic sessions. The coaching staff from the Decatur boys basketball team, led by coach David Choi and his coaching staff, will run the camp for boys and girls going into fourth through ninth grade (Fall of 2017).

The cost is $80 per camper if registered before June 23 ($100 at the door). Make checks payable to Decatur HS Basketball. Registration form can be printed at DecaturBasketball.com.

Campers will receive a t-shirt, various prizes and individual coaching assessments. There will be a halftime 40-minute lunch break and campers are asked to bring a snack and water bottle each day as campers will not be allowed to leave campus.

Current Decatur coaches Choi, Robert Oliver and Andrew Kim, all attended the camp as youths. And a majority of the program’s players once went through the camp.
