Cross country runners earn all-league honors

AJ Chopra

Todd Beamer’s AJ Chopra was named the male cross country Athlete of the Year for the North Puget Sound League 4A Olympic division.

Chopra took third place in the NPSL subdivision meet, with a time of 16 minutes, 7.1 seconds, on Oct. 21 at Fort Steilacoom Park in Lakewood. He finished third (16:04.1) in the Westside Classic district meet on Oct. 28 at Chambers Creek Properties Central Meadow in University Place.

Chopra along with teammate Alonso Banuelos made the NPSL 4A Olympic division all-league first team.

Federal Way High’s Colton Low, and Thomas Jefferson’s Austin Miller and Noah Kropp were named to the all-league second team.
