The Federal Way Knights 8U baseball team finished first overall at the Summer Knights VI baseball tournament last weekend in Federal Way.

After losing their first two games, the Knights regained their hitting power and tightened up their fielding to advance all the way to the championship game, where they beat the Sammamish Spartans, 14-12.

The Summer Knights tournament is an annual event hosted by the Federal Way Knights Baseball Club. It showcases top talent from throughout the region, with over 80 teams participating in nine age divisions this year.

The Federal Way Knights 8U team includes Spencer Sugg, Andy Russell, Brady Houston, Zach Yoon, Adam Taylor, Cole Bakker, Nate Clow, Kevin Mollett, Colin Heffernan, Justin Maggerise, Connor Ellingson and Dylan O’Connor. The team is managed by Scott Clow and coached by Noah Clow, Mitch Mollett, Bob Houston and Kevin Heffernan.
