Mirror's Preps of the Week: Oct. 9

STACEY BLUNT

Decatur

• Grade: Senior

• Sport: Girls golf

• Accomplishment: Blunt is the No. 1 golfer on the Gator golf team that captured its second-straight South Puget Sound League Central Division championship. Last week, Blunt had rounds of even-par and 2-under par to lead Decatur to a pair of convincing wins. The Gators clinched the SPSL Central championship with a 101-85 win over second place Jefferson. Blunt had the low round for Decatur with a 39.

• Favorite athlete?: Tiger Woods for what he’s done for golf.

• What is on your IPOD?: Jack Johnson, Sheryl Crow, Sublime.

• What is your favorite class?: U.S. History, because I like learning about what has made our country what it is today.

• Something a lot of people don’t know about you?: “I want to play competitive college golf and work in sports medicine.”

AMANDA TOFAEONO

Christian Faith High School

• Grade: Sophomore

• Sport: Volleyball

• Accomplishment: The sophomore setter on the Christian Faith volleyball team had 102 assists last week and has led her team to first place in the Seatac B League with a record of 5-1 in league and 7-2 overall. Tofaeono also had 15 kills, 21 aces, four blocks and nine digs last week. Volleyball is the only fall sport offered at Federal Way’s Christian Faith High School. The team plays their home matches at the EX3 Teen Center on the campus of Truman High school on Tuesday nights.
