FWay athletes heading to community colleges

Several Federal Way school district athletes have signed letters of intent to play sports next year at area community colleges.

Three basketball players from Federal Way High School will be playing in the fall at Green River Community College. Elon Langston, Marcus Wright and Anwar Asadi have signed with the Gators.

Soccer players Rachael Christenson (Federal Way) and Tina Ruiz (Federal Way) will be playing soccer at Green River and Decatur’s Caitlin Britt has signed with Tacoma Community College.

Jefferson’s Kalei Frank, the Mirror’s All-City co-Player of the Year, will play basketball at Tacoma CC and Decatur pitcher/outfielder Jay Walkup, an All-City selection, will play baseball at Columbia Basin College (Tri-Cities).
