FW beats Kent-Meridian

The Federal Way boys basketball team avoided their first losing streak of the season with a solid 62-57 win over the Kent-Meridian Royals Saturday afternoon at the South Puget Sound League Tournament at Auburn High School.

The workmanlike victory gave the Eagles the 19-team league’s third seed into the West Central/Southwest District Tournament, which gets underway tomorrow night. Federal Way will host the Prairie Falcons, the No. 2-seed from the Greater St. Helen’s League, at 7:30 p.m.
