The Federal Way girls basketball team won their fourth game in a row since the Christmas breakTuesday night with a 57-49 victory over the Puyallup Vikings at home. Puyallup beat the Eagles by 12 in their first meeting of the season last month.
The win improves Federal Way to 4-5 in the South Puget Sound League South Division and 5-5 overall and puts them right back in the playoff chase. The top-five teams from the South advance to the SPSL Tournament. The Eagles sat in sixth behind Puyallup (4-4) before last nights games (after press time).
Tuesday night, Federal Way used a solid second half to beat the Vikings. Puyallup led 27-22 at the half thanks to the play of SPSL South leading-scorer Danika Lawson. But Federal Ways Selena Dickerson was too much in the third and fourth quarters. The junior poured in 27 points to lead the Eagles to the eight-point win.
